Our Story

Cosmetology Utah
Since 1931, our association has been built on the dedication, talent, and generosity of professionals who have shared their knowledge and encouraged others to grow. Many of us can trace our success to a mentor, instructor, employer, colleague, or friend who believed in us, guided us, and helped shape our careers.Their influence extends far beyond the salon, touching the lives of clients, students, and the future generation of beauty professionals.
Together, we preserve the legacy of those who have elevated our profession through education, mentorship, leadership, and service.

Brenda Scharman, the legislature chair for the Utah State Beauty School Association, kept everyone in the loop and worked with the PBA to create links for both the professionals and the public to address their legislators. This campaign definitely worked - more than 3,000 personalized emails were sent. It was a herculean effort.
